Terms
Last updated: 27 October 2026
Draft. This text is waiting for review by a lawyer and the company details are not complete yet.
What Chara is
- Chara is a booking platform. It helps patients find doctors, clinics and labs in the Kurdistan Region and book appointments with them.
- Chara does not provide medical care and does not give medical advice. The doctors and clinics on Chara are independent. They are responsible for the care they give.
- In an emergency, go to the nearest hospital or call your local emergency number. Do not use Chara.
Using Chara
- You must give true information and keep your password private.
- You may not use Chara to harm others, to book appointments you do not intend to keep, to copy or scrape our data, or to break the law.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.
Patients
- Booking on Chara is free for patients. You pay the doctor directly at the clinic.
- If you cannot come, please cancel so that someone else can use the time. Each doctor may have their own rules about late cancellation.
Doctors, clinics and labs
- You must be properly licensed and give us true documents. We check them before you appear to patients, and the owner of Chara gives the final approval. We may suspend or remove a profile if documents are false, expired or missing.
- A free trial may apply, followed by a monthly subscription. The price will be announced before you have to pay anything. A fee for each completed visit may be introduced only after it is announced to you in advance and approved on our side.
- You keep control of your working hours and your price. You are responsible for the care you give and for following the law that applies to your profession.
- A moderator of Chara may register your profile for you. You can take it over with the private code you are given. Until then, the moderator can only fix the profile details they entered.
Money
Bills and receipts between Chara and doctors are recorded in our system. Taxes are the responsibility of each party under the law that applies to them.
Our responsibility
- We work to keep Chara available, but we cannot promise it will never be interrupted or free of errors.
- To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for the medical care given by doctors, or for losses that come from a doctor not keeping an appointment. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have that the law does not allow us to limit.
Changes
We may change these terms. If the change is important, we will tell you before it takes effect. If you keep using Chara after that, you accept the new terms.
Law and disputes
[To be completed after legal review: which law applies and which courts can hear disputes.]
